Gujarat Titans beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 38 runs in IPL 2025 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 2. Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored an impressive 224/6. Shubman Gill (76 off 38 balls) and Sai Sudharsan (48 off 23 balls), who have been so very successful as a pair in IPL 2025, played some delightful shots right from the start and with ease, took Gujarat Titans to 82/0 inside the powerplay. Sai Sudharsan's dismissal after the powerplay did not lead to the Gujarat Titans losing any momentum. Jos Buttler, who has been in good form, once again made an impact with a remarkable 64-run knock that came off just 37 balls. Washington Sundar's 21 off 16 and six runs each from Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan helped Gujarat Titans score 224/6. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jaydev Unadkat scalped three wickets. In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad did get off to a good start in the first few overs, but Gujarat Titans bounced back right back. Travis Head was dismissed for just 20 and Ishan Kishan was the next to fall for 13 runs off 17 deliveries. Abhishek Sharma was the best batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad, scoring 74 runs off 41 balls and apart from him, there were no knocks of real impact by the others. Nitish Kumar Reddy (21* off 10 balls) and Pat Cummins (19* off 10 balls) tried hard in the end, but there were just too many runs to score. Prasidh Krishna was the best player for the Gujarat Titans with the ball in hand, as he picked up two wickets for just 19 runs. Mohammed Siraj also scalped two wickets while Ishant Sharma and Gerald Coetzee got one each.
